The Keeper of Dreams —-THADEUS PROJECT

Thadeus

After several single releases which zoomed to the top, Thadeus Project has released their new CD, Keeper of Dreams. It was well worth the wait. Check out what this duo has to say about their music which always puts them at the top of the charts.

Q: What is the meaning behind “Keeper of Dreams”?

Glenn: “Keeper of Dreams” is a metaphor for that spirit in us all. It helps us rise to the occasion, deal with failure, be more and dream more,it gives rise to the mystic powers we have within our souls to be better and wiser.
Ted: “Keeper of Dreams” has a personal meaning to me. Dealing with the tragic lost of my parents four years ago, trying to somehow make good out of it and carry on and keep that dream alive and honor them with that effort.

Q: “Rain for the Roses” was a solid hit for Thadeus Project and it is from this CD. What is the story behind this song?

Glenn: “Rain for the Roses” is about taking the good times with the bad. While things can some times get ‘fuzzy, and out of proportion, life carries on. It’s up to us to get back on the bus. There’s a natural cycle to things. The gray rainy days bring forth a new day. It never rains forever, so be strong, hold on. There’s a rose right behind the rain.

Q: Talk about “Run Rabbit Run,” another hit from this CD.

Glenn: “Run Rabbit Run” is about the way our lives have become managed by people, places and things all around us. For example: “Stay on this side of the fence.” “Everyone does it this way.” “It’s always been done this way.” “Go when we tell you.” When we were young, we were taught to only color between the lines. It’s all about the sometimes stifling and ridged systems and education we program ourselves unwillingly to. You know the sayings: “Be like everybody else.” “Stay in the box’.” There happens to be a million ways we enslave ourselves to this narrow thinking.

Q: You have a lot of hits on this CD, but which song will not be released as a single?

Ted: i would say “Babylon.” It’s a beautiful song but more a album cut. It is too long perhaps for radio.

Q: Glenn, what is your favorite track on the CD? You must have one.

GLENN: Actually, I have two — “Run Rabbit Run” because I just like the song. The other would have to be “Desert Night” because I just really like the jam feel and the sheer rootsiness of the sound.

Q: What about you Ted?

Ted: I would have to agree with Glenn but the title track is my favorite because it has all the bells and whistles. And it is our current single, “Keeper of Dreams.”

Review from Mike Davis (Bryan Farrish Radio Promotion)

Keeper Of Dreams The album throws off a very classic rock, folk music vibe that sounds as if it would be the perfect soundtrack to a road trip out to nowhere. A great track is “Rain for the Roses” which utilizes hand claps as percussion. It provides a very folky tone that connects the whole album. The premiere track “Calling” starts off slow, with a very soothing vocal track. The lyrics are very wistful and nostalgic and completely relatable. A very likable track is track eight, entitled “Holiday Road”, it is very folk inspired with the strumming guitar and the “telling” lyrics and voice. The album is full of folk-inspired guitar that juxtapositions with some tracks that contain an classic rock vibe with its electric guitar. The use of acoustic guitar runs rampant throughout the album. All in all, it is a very, very good folk-inspired album with some tracks inspired by classic rock.

just loaded 2 songs off DANGER AND BLISS to http://myspace.com/thadeusproject -
YESTERDAY TODAY, a song written about the loss of a very dear friend. ted and i often play this song on our gigs. all of the ‘orchestration’ you hear is actually ted on a synth guitar. (he plays this live, while i play the acoustic guitar part.) it always takes some folks by surprise. orchestra sounds from a guitar.
COLOR OF MOON is a song that our friend GARSOT (a Greek artist that has done some of our artwork) needed help to complete. it’s a very cool ethnic sound. i played bass and came up with some chanting. ted is on guitar. garsot does the keyboard work.
he has used the song at some of his exhibits. you can really hear the north African and mid-east influences in this tune.
if you would like to see more of garsots artwork go to our main website.
THADEUSPROJECT.COM.  there are 2 areas on our my-space page for a direct link. just click and go to ‘about the artwork’.
a wonderful holiday season to you all!!  be safe out there!!  glenn
